CULT CLASSIC: MIDNIGHT MUSICAL
A one-night-only variety event where the strange, the musical, and the marvelous collide
Los Angeles, CA – Step into a rose-tinted world where goblin kings rule the dance floor, plants might bite back, and music dares you to remember the power of the dance. On October 9, 2025, the band Midnight Druthers presents Cult Classic: Midnight Musical at The Hobgoblin Playhouse in Los Angeles, an electrifying variety performance that celebrates oddities, eccentricities, and the gloriously bizarre.
Equal parts concert, cabaret, and cult cinema fever dream, Cult Classic: Midnight Musical pays homage to the misunderstood and the magnificent. With haunting melodies, theatrical surprises, and a wink to campy cult classics, the Druthers invite audiences to shed their skins, sip something wicked, and enter a labyrinth of sound and spectacle.
The Midnight Druthers are not your typical band. A troupe of hot-blooded musicians, dreamers, and mischief-makers, they appear when the night demands something stranger, wilder, and more alive. Their performances conjure a world where mysteries never resolve and danger always lurks just offstage—yet laughter and music keep the darkness at bay.

A Note from the Producer
I was delighted to hear that The Rocky Horror Picture Show is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and I was reminded of an anecdote about Tim Curry. Supposedly, when he auditioned for the film, he kicked open the door and declared, “Alright, let’s light this motha!” before launching straight into song.
There’s something to be said for that kind of brazen openness—for choosing expression over restraint, daring over dullness. It’s that same spirit that brought us the great cult classics, and the creators who shaped them: Tim Curry, David Lynch, and, of course, the father of them all, David Bowie.
Tonight is a celebration of the eccentric, the oddball, the peculiar. It’s a toast to the artists who dare to live sideways, and to the audiences who meet them there. Because when we come together and engage in the act of creation, we are unstoppable.
If the world feels upside down, let this evening serve as a beacon: a chance to refill your cup, to revel in the gloriously bizarre, and to celebrate the magic of what we do as artists.
With gratitude and mischief,
Brian Morales
