What I liked
“A Very DIE HARD Christmas” is a glorious love letter to the least Christmas-y Christmas movie of all time. The cast commits 100% to the zaniness of it all, enjoying every moment of shenanigans.
On one hand, I’m reminded of how tightly written of a movie DIE HARD is. On the other hand, I’m amazed that so many Christmas song can fit into the narrative.
It’s fun, funny, clever and speeds along at a delightful pace. The cast is outstanding, and script is full of zingers, and I can see why this thing has become such a beloved Christmastime tradition.
I had a blast (pun intended) and you will, too!
What I didn't like
I guess I’d say that you need to have seen the movie to understand what’s happening onstage. So yeah…watch the movie. It’s a fantastic movie. Then see the show. Then you’ll understand why everyone’s laughing :)
My overall impression
Fast, fun, funny and full of fake blood, explosions, one-liners, and Christmas silliness!
