Christmas Carol is a story about Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly man who despises Christmas. His transformation begins on Christmas Eve when he is visited by the ghost of his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him about his future if he doesn’t change. Scrooge is then visited by three spirits: Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. These ghosts show him the consequences of his greed by taking him through his own life, the joy he has missed, and his lonely, unmourned death. Shocked by his own grave, Scrooge vows to change. He wakes up on Christmas Day, completely redeemed, and spends the rest of his life spreading kindness, generosity, and Christmas cheer.
