About the Show
Straitjacket Sirens (Nominated – Fringe Award for Cabaret & Burlesque, 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival) is a new cabaret conceived and written by Pamela Eberhardt (On the Line, Family Fries) directed by Parissa Koo, and brought to you by The Unknown Artists (2024 Hollywood Fringe Award – Musicals & Operas, 5x Fringe Award Nominee).
This 90s-jukebox cabaret is a darkly funny, razor-sharp exploration of a group of women confined to a mental hospital. Each one is dismissed by their misogynistic therapist as they attempt to reclaim their voices with the help of a passionate activist… and through music! Grunge, pop, R&B, and alt-rock anthems collide channeling iconic 90s hits into acts of rebellion, survival, and hard-won solidarity.
