About the Show

Set against the backdrop of September 11, 2001, In the Garage explores friendship, love, regret, and the complicated ways people navigate life when the future is uncertain. Spanning two years but unfolding within a single day, the play brings together a group of friends whose shared space becomes a refuge from the outside world and a place where relationships are tested, memories linger, and unspoken truths emerge.

Through music, humor, conflict, and moments of unexpected tenderness, these characters reveal the beauty and difficulty of growing up, holding on, and letting go. Each carries their own struggles, disappointments, and hopes, yet the garage offers something they cannot always find elsewhere: a place to belong. As the world beyond their walls changes in ways they cannot fully comprehend, the connections they have built take on a deeper significance.

In the Garage is an intimate, character-driven drama about the people who shape our lives, the moments that define us, and the strength we find in one another when we face the unknown. It is a story about time—not simply the time we have, but what we do with it, who we spend it with, and how the bonds we create can help us confront whatever comes next.

Recommended for mature audiences. The production explores adult themes and contains language and subject matter that may be more suitable for older audiences.
