CJ Hoke (she/her)

Writer

CJ Hoke has written for GENERAL HOSPITAL (ABC) and is the executive producer of the film AFTER WE’RE OVER (winner of the 2021 Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature at SLIFF). Her one-act play, SNOW, about fictionalized archivists reassembling the tattered records of an impulsive President, won the Encore! Producers Award at the 2019 Hollywood Film Festival, and her comedy pilot HOOKERS won the 2022 JHRTS Script Competition for Best Half-Hour Pilot. Recent credits include WA and SC work on SHRINKING, AMERICAN GIGOLO, and BEST FOOT FORWARD. A double-honors graduate of the University of Chicago (French Language & Literature / Theatre and Performance Studies), CJ writes women-driven comedies with heart, often exploring the conflicts between who her characters are and who they believe themselves to be. She’s a pun-loving team player with an extensive background in daytime drama, B+ monster movies, and comedy theater, including multiple collaborations with Theatre Unleashed, where she co-wrote and produced the six-part comedy series CAMP RAGNAROK. This is her third 24-Hour Theater production with TU, and she’s sad to see studio/stage go.
