Sonja Hansen is an actor based in Los Angeles. In addition to performing sketch and improvised comedy with her team The Gag at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Sonja has recently appeared in Hashtag Friendship with the Irvine Theater Company, Three Wishes and Steve’s New Year with WriteAct’s Holiday Express, Macbeth for CHW Productions, Castelet Pantin in WriteAct’s Cringe Fest, and Tamra Wasserman: This is Real This is Me at last year’s Hollywood Fringe.
As a writer, Sonja produced and performed swimming in my grandmother—a comedic performance on young adulthood in the climate crisis—and earned the 2023 Excellence in Capstone award. She co-wrote The World Only Spins Forward-a comedy collaboratively built off of years of research into the addiction epidemic in America-which enjoyed a residency at NYU Tisch through the 2024 MSNR Alumni Incubator.
