Marcela Barrientos

Actor

Marcela Barrientos was born in Honduras and raised in New York City. Her passion for acting was sparked when she watched her first Cantinflas film with her abuelos. She earned her B.F.A. from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and later completed her M.A. in Applied Theatre at CUNY SPS.

Marcela has performed on stages across New York, Los Angeles, Chile, Peru, and Spain. She currently studies film and television acting at Kimball Studio in New York City and is dedicated to honoring the tradition of storytelling on screen.

In 2025, Marcela wrote and produced her first short film as part of the Cinematography for Actors 72-Hour Challenge, earning the BreakThrough Award. This recognition celebrates exceptional work by first-time filmmakers.
