Andrew got his professional start in Tokyo, Japan, working in English-teaching television, radio and voiceovers for NHK Educational Corporation. Upon returning to the States, he continued this work in Seattle, earning his SAG card through voice acting in desktop games. He has performed at Walt Disney World, studied Shakespeare at RADA in London, and spent several years working in many-times-off-Broadway theaters in New York. Although on-camera opportunities brought him to Los Angeles (imdb.com/AndrewThacher), theatre remains his first acting love.
One of Andrew’s most fulfilling achievements has been bringing Richard Bach’s acclaimed novella Jonathan Livingston Seagull to life on stage as a solo show (www.jlsasoloflight.com), premiering at Atwater Village Theatre in 2022. The show was awarded “Best Adaptation” at the Spring 2024 United Solo Theatre Festival in New York as well as “Best of Fest” at last year’s Solofest at LA’s Whitefire Theatre.
