Abel Marquez (he/him) is an award-winning freelance latiné director, dramaturg, playwright, and arts administrator. He has collaborated with organizations like Center Theatre Group, Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Am, Theatre of NOTE, and more. Abel is the Project Manager at U/RTA (NY), a Teaching Artist at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, serves on the American College Theatre Festival Executive Committee, is a company member of Bethesda Repertory Theatre, and a director/producer for Brown and Out Festival. Recently, Abel premiered his play, My Brother’s Keeper, at Boston Court Pasadena and received the Kennedy Center Gold Medallion Award for his work in education and producing theatre.
